The Couple

As marriage proposals planners, our team is truly honored to be a part of our clients proposal day. Seeing the love and joy that surrounds those moments are truly magical. But what is even more special, is when our team not only gets to support their proposal day, but also their elopement.

We were lucky enough to have shared both of these special moments with our clients, Hunter and Lauren. We supported their proposal in Asheville NC, here is a flashback to their proposal day.

When Hunter and Lauren reached out to the H+H team to see if we could support their elopement, we were so thrilled to help design and plan this incredibly special moment, for this incredibly amazing couple.

The Location

When listening to Hunter and Lauren’s wish list for their elopement, we wanted to be sure to find a place that was not only beautiful, but functional as well.

Since their elopement was in the summer in North Carolina, there is a pretty good chance that it may rain in the evening. So with those variables, the Borden House at Fred Fletcher park in Raleigh NC was the perfect location. The area has a gorgeous private garden space, as well as a rent-able indoor historic home (The Borden House) that would provide a great option if it rained. All of the elements at this location checked our client’s boxes as well as our design needs!

The Details

The Borden House was perfect because it not only has the old historic aesthetics, but it had multiple spaces that fit the flow of the day. One of those moments being two rooms for Hunter and Lauren to get ready for their ceremony.

With an amazing vendor team, our friends with Wink Hair and Makeup, dazzled up our friends while the H+H team was busy setting up the ceremony!

Due to the rain, our team had to pivot our design indoors (those summer showers keeping us on our toes!). But no worries, our team plans for these unpredictable changes and swiftly set up our designs inside to fit the new environment perfectly!

With the request of a minimalist design, our team created a lush, minimalist ceremony landscape with elements of gold, that was illuminated with pillar candles in front of the perfect fireplace, and gorgeous gold mirror.

The Elopement

With the ceremony set up and ready to go, hair and makeup complete, it was time for the first look!

Hunter waited patiently outside on the porch while the amazing Whitney Gremaud positioned herself to capture this special moment. Meanwhile, Lauren made her way to Hunter, for their first look. Cue in all of the happy tears and all of the warm and fuzzies for the beautiful moment they shared.

Then, the big moment is finally here! It is time for their marriage ceremony. Hunter is in position, along with the wonderful officiant, Kayelily. Lauren elegantly walks to Hunter, and they join hand in hand. With a beautiful ceremony shared, they are officially married!!

Followed by some yummy cake provided by Edible Art, Hunter and Lauren soaked in all of the love and joy of the day as a married couple. Congratulations Hunter and Lauren, we are truly honored to have been a part of your support team throughout your love story together!

Our team provides marriage proposals for our clients to create an opportunity for them to truly be in the moment together, surround themselves with love and joy, and curate a setting for them where all they have to do is enjoy one of the happiest moments together. That sentiment is is exactly why we provide elopements as well!
