Brooke + Craig’s Rooftop Proposal
These two love birds gave us all of the feels in their recent proposal. When Craig reached out to our team, we were over the moon to help plan this special moment. Craig was so eager to make Brooke his fiancé, he just needed a helping hand. That's where Heart and Hand Proposals came in!
The Pre-Planning:
Craig knew the most important thing, that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Brooke. It was the passion that he had for making this moment just perfect for her, that fueled our team to step into high gear and start helping Craig plan this proposal. We met with Craig at a local coffee shop (Pine State Coffee) and started the brainstorm! He knew he wanted a private and intimate rooftop space in Downtown Raleigh with a great view. Family was a very important must for this couple, and having them be a part of this special moment was another must! Once we met with Craig and determined our musts, we came up with our ideas and plan for their proposal.
Setting the Scene:
It was Craig's birthday, so this was the inspiration and motivation to have the family get together for a nice Friday evening in Downtown. It was the perfect occasion to have an unsuspecting celebratory birthday dinner and drinks with the family. To Brooke's surprise, the proposal was the real reasoning behind this special gathering.
When considering a location, we had to keep in mind Craig had imagined this special moment on a rooftop. The Raleigh Times Bar was a no brainer for this proposal. This downtown staple was in the heart of downtown Raleigh with a private rooftop space, and the icing on the cake, this was a place that the couple frequented often.
The Details:
This rooftop terrace had a great corner view of the Downtown Raleigh landscape. Raleigh received quite a few inches of snow fall the day before which added a beautiful element to our scene. It might have been a little chilly, snowy/icy, but that didn't stop Craig's plan to pop the question. This romantic snowy white terrace was filled with white rose petals, vintage lanterns and a blanket of candles lining Brooke's path to the man of her dreams.
The Proposal:
Brooke was on her way up the stairs after being distracted by her sister with a must have bathroom break aka: stall her for at least 5 minutes until the HH Team gets everyone set in place. :) The moment Brooke opened the door she was stopped in her tracks as she saw the love of her life waiting for her at the end of a path illuminated by candles. She made her way to Craig, and the moment we have all been waiting for commenced (we're not crying, you're crying!).
After Brooke said YES, the family had a champagne toast soaking in all the excitement with more photos and quality time. The group then ventured to dinner at Cafe Luna to end their night as they began their journey as the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Congratulations Brooke and Craig!
